Hi there.
I thought it was time to introduce myself. My name is Garth Hutchison and I'm from Johannesburg, South Africa. I have been lurking in the backround for a few years on this forum and have picked up many hints and tips from you guys, thanks to all.
I'll be going to Dallas, Forth Worth in a few days time for business [so I won't have to much time] and I thought I'll get some equipment and accessories. I have the list needed for 'Chris Crawfords' 'electro-etching unit' and know where the nearest 'Radio shack' is from my hotel. So that shouldn't be a problem, although your customs guys might think it's some kind of a bomb that I have in my luggage when I leave!
I really need to know where to get 'paracord' and the flat braid or cord used in wrapping japanese knives and sword handles. I have a few blades that I've finished and just can't seem to find the right stuff at home. Could someone point me in the right direction please. Also what type of resin do you use on the wrapped handle after completion.
Any help would be much appreiciated.
Thanks
Garth

Thanks for the help and the website Spencer.
Yea Louis, the time thing is really screwing me up, why does work have to get in the way of knifemaking?
Any way thanks to all.
Cheers
Garth.
