So there I was walking in the brush, cutting cactus fruit for this next batch of beer Im going to brew, when a friend of mine (I think his name is jetblack on the forums) pulled out this incredibly cool knife called an Izula. All I had was this old folding knife I picked up from Walmart. Talk about knife envy!!! You can WRAP it too!!! oh man too much! He told me about these forums and I have been reading non stop while stuck in court (wonders of modern day technology). The more I read, the more I am struck by the comaraderie and wealth of information. So now based on the info I found here, I have an IZULA coming and an RC 4! Cant wait for them to arrive and see how they work! I got an old winchester lever action rifle in the works and I think its time to hunt some hogs and see what these knives can do!

Anyway, I wanted to introduce myself and tell yall how much I have enjoyed reading the forums an learning about RAT and survival info!

Hearing that our product 'snags' a new customer in the field like that is a happy story. I would rather have 5 good customers that saw the knife work in the field and wanted it because they saw how it worked rather than many who just thought it was the next best cool thing and had to 'collect' it. Thank you for buying and using our knives. Mike

Well I conned jetblack into picking up the izula for my upcoming birthday (not sure what he got). I ordered the RC4 half serrated in black with green handle. Now I just have to wait to arrive....or for jet to give the blade up early!

Hey buddy, welcome aboard!!! I was just talking bout you on a different thread, the head RAT posted a thread about gardening, and I was telling them bout your garden.

hi, enjoy the ride im sure these RAT threads will offer. Use the hell out of those things

Thanks mike. I was looking for something that would be able to do well when (if) I actually take down these troublesome hogs. It is just recently that I have been able to go out in the brush and try my hand at hunting my own food and I have to tell you the experience is head and shoulders better than my time spent living in Dallas.

Welcome...just got into the RAT forum myself. I've had my eye on an Izula for awhile now...think I may have to take the plunge too. Good hearing from a fellow hog hunter...I like to use handguns myself.

Cool! maybe you can give me some tips on catching these suckers! they seem to have an innate sense on when I am coming to get them! It is crazy that I seem to have so much in common with so many people on these forums!

Welcome to the forum!

I too am kind of new here. I went with an Izula first (hopefully an RC4 or HEST next) mainly because of the designs, quality, company and this place.

To me seeing a bunch of folks that are THIS passionate about a product means its likely a quality company and product!

Very cool news on your RC4 and Izula! CONGRATS!

Superfuzz... he needs ALL the help he can get.:p

Libertas ... welcome to the forum. I have an Izula and RC-4. You will LOVE them both. When you add my RC-6, they make the perfect trio. Between the 3, I figure I can do just about everything I need to do.

Well, I live in south texas and have not seen em yet (will shoot em when I do!) but have seen the damage they have caused to crops and trees.

Well, I'm a resident of Texas; own a home in San Antonio, and will be retiring there. A friend of mine pointed me to the site below awhile back...tons of good info about hunting our favorite prey.

Hawg...the other, other, white meat

Check it out...should help.

Welcome aboard, You will love those RATs

My favorite rifle is my Marlin 1894C in 357. Takes care of biz deer/pigs no prob. have you tried hornady leverevolution ammo. works great in my marlin.

7" Ruger Blackhawk .45Colt 300gr. flatnose pushing about 1300fps. Nasty on pigs...and my wrist too.

I own a home in SA too, but I live in corpus christi now. I was born and raised in SA, but spent time in Artesia NM at the FLETC training center, then ended up in stationed in Tucson AZ. I managed to find my way back to Texas, and plan on staying...my family and I love living by the water.

Braun and 1604, for me. When I get back I plan on getting a place nearer to Bandera, TX. Maybe just Helotes...depends on how far SA has crept outside 1604 by the time I get back.
