Evening,
Its been a while since we had picture posting from LT so let me start something.

Here is a sample of what Schrade could do with a good design and some great craftsmen. These are my collection of the 5 series.
Next to the 123 and 124 this is my favorite carry knife.
All are Schrade + blades except for the 5OT
From the top:
5OT Blue Bone
5OT Bone
515SC
5OTG
55OTG Liner Lock (as are all 55 series). Thumb screw, flat ground and sharpened on one side only.
5OT Carbon blade.
5UH
55UH Liner Lock.

Schrade did similar things with the 3 series and many of their other patterns. They found something to please just about all of us.

Enjoy!
Larry

Beauty knives, Larry! Wow. I love the blue bone... it is very similar in color to the Case 'Lowes' blue bone, which is one of my favorite colors.

Now let's see what LT can add to this.

From Lt's posting and e-mail I think He's going to be posting pictures of boxes and crates in his home. Sounds like it will be a while before he can find his collections to respond to my little 5 series.
It good to hear from him and hopefully he will fill us all in on more of the details of his great adventure. I have pictures in my head of him running around inside this huge factory not knowing which way to go next. Just like a big kid in a huge chocolate factory. Jealous as hell comes to mind.
Best to all

Very nice, I like the second from top and the bottom one with liner lock, I have one of the common brownish saw cut delrin and the same but smaller model 3, both of mine are Schrade+.

Thanks for showing.

The problem with some of these threads showing a line up of beautiful knives in different handles and styles... is that I don't just want one of them! Thanks a lot, Larry! I want the blue bone... but that yellow is great as well! And somewhere down the line, Schrade must have made a real stag handled version of this model.

yep. I want it all.

Phil

ps. Second from the top, Larry.. what is the handle?

Phil,
I think the reason we post these sets of pictures is to get others blood
flowing and the desire up to go and find just one more. So I think I was successful? :p

The second from the top is bone. Doubt it's stag but it is real bone. Also serialized so I dont think there are too many.

I was hoping some of our other collectors would throw out a couple others we havent seen, but alas nothing yet.

Next week I'll start on the LB5's which my wife gave me a copy of 20+ years ago which I had carried for 4-5 years before It was sadly lost.

I need to get a camera badly. I would wager that I don't have anything you haven't seen, well maybe.

Love your 5OTs esp. the carbon Old Timer and the natural bone handled one!

CRH... for a couple of years I simply used my flatbed scanner to 'take pics' of the knives I sold on ebay. Give it a try, experiment with the cover open or closed.
