Have been madly trying to decide on a new edc companion in the mid to higher end range for production folders for the past 3 weeks. I was pretty sure it was going to be a 940 variant and was leaning towards the newer 940-1. Came on here, asked a few questions, watched a couple hundred
youtube vids, you know the deal...but finally bought this yesterday.
I did a fair amount of driving to a bunch of knife shops because I never have even held one. My eyes lit up when the very last shop had this original greeny in the case. Flicked it twice and bought it...decision over.
So far I love it. It is ridiculously smooth, sturdy in the hand for such a light knife of its size, and has a perfect lock up with no blade play at all.
Have a feeling I'm going to be carrying this one for a while before I go back to the usual rotation, however I'm not going to wear er' when I know I'll be working in real nasty, crudy conditions since this is more of a gentleman's edc blade and I always try to keep my pricier blades from unnecessary wearage. It will definitely get some use though so in a few months I'll likely post a report once she's broken in.
For now I'm going to enjoy the hell at of it. Thanks to all on here who helped point me in the right direction. It was very much appreciated.
