I think the Stretch (mine is the gray FRN, Superblue version) is pretty close to perfect, but yeah if it were technically possible I'd consider a comp lock version, or a comp lock knife with the same basic dimensions, handle to blade proportions and weight to be the ultimate folder. Meanwhile I pretty much alternate between a Para 2 and a Stretch, with occasional guest appearances from a Caly 3.5.
The Stretch is completely flickable and easy to operate 1 handed.

That would be a nice knife. I d love to see the Sage series new editions upgraded to s35v.Compression lock Sage is a must. G10 handles with s35v Blade.
SpeedHoles, I think I remember from one of your posts that you are a cyclist... Me too. Kind of adjusts your priorities--weight, function, ergonomics above all else!
It's discontinued now, but a Junior fits the bill.Maybe Sal / Eric will surprise us all with a brand new model with the compression lock. Only request is to make it affordable - less than $130 & with G10 handles.
I knew it could be done. There were a lot of guys saying a compression lock and flipper couldn't work.
I'd like to see them offer something with a compression lock with a flat-saber grind, and a stronger tip. Kinda like how the original Gen 4 Endura was modified from the Gen 3. (until they gave the Gen 4 the ffg treatment).
