And in Leeds Market today...

I've never seen a spring like that! Is it common for a long-framed knife with a short blade to have a spring that extends up from the tail into the frame like that?

...I've had two small Richards recently that didn't have the trademark one-piece bolsters and covers. It seemed OK when I first cursorarily examined it, but it seems that rust was holding it together.

lol i used to have an old pickup truck like that lol

There were a lot of knives in the market today, but most weren't of interest to me. However, I bought this because I've not seen one before. I took it for a pipe tool, but I'm also wondering if the spike was intended for cigars. It has cast aluminium covers, with stainless blades. Though the cast shield is marked 'Dominant', the tangs are simply stamped 'Stainless' above 'Sheffield'. Not been able to find out anything more about it.

I also picked up this old Dixon Half-Moon leather knife, but I'll start a seperate thread about that ;)
