And It's Spring (Photo Heavy)

You are easily a month ahead of me. I really need to crack out my DSLR to up the photos. The Coolpix is good and UL but can't get what the DSLR can. Nice photos.

I am totally ok with being a month ahead on spring :) The DSLRs certainly give me better image quality, so since I am always humping the extra weight for professional projects anyway, I definitely take advantage of that. But the D7000 and the 18-300 lens would make for a heavy necklace just to carry for fun...

nice macros in the field. thanks for sharing

Thanks man :)

Those bee photos are fantastic! You packed a cutting board I love it! I need a small board like that to carry around. Seriously though outstanding post and photos thank you. I'm waiting another month for the morels to start popping up here in VT.

Thank you. With them being such an integral part of the environment here I have been collecting as much data on them as I can for my data base when I am out. Lol, that bamboo cutting board is the lid to my lunch box, and being a knife guy it comes in handy :) I think I am just a little bit too far south here for the morels, I do miss those.

Beautiful photography! Very nice. Love the water pics. Can hear the water and the bugs:) Awsome

Thank you sir! Yeah we have some nice areas here once you get away from the areas where people frequent to party...and plenty of water and bugs regardless :D

good stuff Mist. cheers.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed the post :)

Very nice photos... Thanks for sharing! As somebody, previously, said: the photos are speaking and we can "hear" and "smell" the noices and smells of spring... Thanks, again!

Beautiful pics.
I love seeing nature come alive during the first weeks of spring!

Thank you. Even though autumn is my favorite season, I have always enjoyed spring. But the record winter in Michigan in 2013-2014 gave me a whole new appreciation of this yearly event :D

Trillium in bloom.... darn it. I am missing it. Been real busy with work. Blood root and trout lily should be blooming too.

nice pics! that one on your finger is one giant fly! any nuclear reactors nearby? :p

great pics as usual. thanks for sharing. You have some great photo skills mist. What type of camera do you use if you don't mind me asking?

Should be by now

Thank you! And yes there are, three nuclear power plants and Oak ridge a short drive north. What do you think inspires all the studies in urban survival and transition from urban to woodland after a disaster ;)

Thanks Tman. Many of these were shot with a Nikon D7000, which is definitely overkill for hikes, but I take them when I am out in the woods working anyway :)
