And now show your watch...

Thanks Klesk,
That Chrono Avenger is a beaut! That crown looks like it could seal a bank vault! Is it heavy on the wrist?

No, it's not heavy at all. The watch is huge, but it's made of titanium, even the bracelet. When I bought the watch, I had to choose between the Breitling and a Tag Heuer Aquagraph 2000 - both are about the same size, but the Tag is made of stainless steel so it is much heavier. That was the deciding factor for me.

Unfortunately, I found out the hard way that, while Ti is pound for pound stronger than steel, it is also much softer. Daily wear has taken its toll on my Breitling, you can probably see some of the marks and dings in the picture. I have a Tag F1 Chrono in stainless steel that I wore every day for 5 years before picking up the Breitling, and overall, the Tag looks to be in better shape even though the Breitling is much newer.

Current favorite by Bill Yao :)

Most of the time I wear a Quartz Omega Seamaster, but for "dressier" events, I wear a Limited Edition Omega Seamaster Chronograph "Tomorrow Never Dies 007" version.
Id really like a Breitling next, though.

I wear a ti Seiko SLL015 every day, and have a beat up Timex I've been wearing to work for the last few years, but this is MY watch:

I keep meaning to get it fixed up(a new one won't "replace" it). I bought it the day before making my first jump in Airborne school 14 years ago.
The crystal is chipped in several places, and liberally sprinkled with welding splatter. It's been through numerous bands, and was my only watch for years. I had to stop wearing it when the face got knocked loose. Still works fine, just needs a little boost on the cosmetic side of things :o

wow owen, that looks like sh1t.

and that's the only way a watch should look. way to go. ;)

OwenM,
Weren't you taught in jump-school not to forget to deploy your parachute, and not to land on your watch?.:D.:D.

Well, your chute deploys for you (you hope) on a static line jump...
See that chip on the crystal, between 10&11 o'clock right against the bezel?
My first jump. Brand new watch in tow. They wouldn't let us wear watches on the jump, so I stuck it in my cargo pocket. Right side PLF on a sandy drop zone. Only rock in sight, and I land on the sucker :grumpy:
I've fired practically every handheld and vehicle mounted weapon known to man, and broken up with three fiancees wearing that watch.
It brings back lots of good memories:D

A plain old analog Timex Expedition, Indiglo, WR100M, with a Day/Date window.

Fancy it is not. Accurate it is. I've found it is more accurate than any of my other watches. My other watches will lose several seconds during the course of a work week. My digitals, even my Timex digitals, are worse. They will lose minutes during the same period of time.

I synchronize my watch to an Internet time server every week. Yes, I am quite "anal" in that regard. But my Timex Expedition beats my other watches hands down.
