Vic Climber. Yes I believe I’m slowly loosing it :) It'll take me another day or so to wrap it up. I just made the tweed micarta yesterday.

That looks really great.

I think I'll hold out for some nice Tolex micarta or better yet some of that fuzzy stuff that's all over my friend's PA system.;)

LOL, bet that tolex will be hard to saturate. The material on the handle of my Lone Wolf D2 could pass for tolex. What about that metal flake vinyl stuff Custom put on their cabs back in the 60s :)

I am excited to see the finished product too! I am a sucker for all that is tweed! I blame fender for that.

I wanna see a pic of your tele! ill show mine if you show yours :D

Bad picture, I've always had trouble taking a picture of Oly White.Pictured here with a battery powered amp I built.

This is "Junior" my first guitar. Named that because at that time the color of the body mixed w/ the fretboard reminded me of one of my mom's favorite movie treats: junior mints.

That is cool! My next guitar is gonna be a tele! I need details on that amp..i assume since it is a homemade job it is tube not solid state...

No, it's solid state, actually a Pignose circuit board into a Webber 8" speaker.

I've got a few guitars myself, more basses and ukulele than guitars though.

That's cool! Pignose amps rock...and i bet that speaker upgrade sounds SAWEET! Ive seen your basses and ukes in the crafts thread..GOOD WORK! Did you do a warmoth build on the bass or is it completely hand built? or what? We can take this conversation to a different thread if you would like...i do not want to derail the tweed coolness you posted

On the mahogany bass I used a Warmoth neck, there was enough to learn on this first project. I do make my own necks now, though nothing as ambitious as that Warmoth, those guys make great necks, a bit heavy but dead on.

i want to get a birdseye vintage neck for the strat from those guys...but those are some pricey necks!

Tele's are awesome! I have an American made Charvel from back in the 80's and I love it, but a vintage Fender would be the bomb!!;)

Wow. Mucho respect. I bet it was a nightmare trying to get all the lines in that micarta to register straight down on each layer.
Later,
Iz:thumbup:
