And The Winner Is...("Thanksgiving In June" Giveaway)

Congrats to you Corey on the win!
Thanks again for your generosity and the chance to win a great knife Elliott.

Congrats to both of you Coreys; Having been the recipient of a 'Blues Soddie' in the past, I know it's a great feeling!

Use them well, guys!

thx - cpr

Corey & Corey, your knives are enroute. Check your PM's in a few for tracking info.

Enjoy 'em boys!!! :thumbup::cool:

Okay, Corey's...I wanna see pix of those knives in hand being used... ;)

Sure enough Elliott! Sorry for the delay. The yeller Johnson Sodbuster has not left my pocket since it arrived. What a great blade! A pure user with great pedigree.
This is from last Saturday, prepping some veggies for guacamole and pasta salad for a big family get together. The soddie lasered through about a hundred cherrie tomatoes and quite a few other things. Picked up a nice patina with all the food work. No country bumpkin this one, it's a gourmand.

I wanted to take more pics but haven't had a chance. Just this afternoon I used it to trim back some birch trees in the front of our lawn and flat topped a row of lilac bushes. Yeller soddie excels at yardwork.

Oh, and last night I used it to de-pimento a handful of olives and stuff them with blue cheese for perfect vodka martinis. Yeller soddie becomes The Continental at the snap of the fingers.

Thanks again Elliott and all. :)

Corey, that is an awesome image and I'm thrilled to hear that you are putting it to good use. Thank you for sharing that image and account with us. Puts a smile on my face for sure!:cool:

Corey,

As Elliott said, "awesome image"! I know Keith will also have a smile on his face when he reads this post.

Job well done, all the way around:D

Ok Elliott I know this is a little late. I'm sorry. Had surgery and family stuff going on. Had the pics but life got in my way. Here they are now. This is my new little friend. He helped me make fire. One thing though Elliott. I did reprofile the blade a bit. Less belly and more pointy. Sorry.

Case's CV just takes such a sharp and polished edge. And well, you can see it cuts with the best of em. I hope Case stays like that forever. Why fix what isn't broken?

Nice work Corey.
I was hoping to see if your newly reprofiled edge could slice through that garden hose in the pic. :D

Looks like these two sodbusters went to a nice home. Those are some good looking parsnips & friends.
