The Regional director of the March of Dimes was not available today, so Layla and I went to the City Hall of our little po dunk town and had the Chief of Police help with our drawing, Here are a couple of pics.

All together this effort raised 1400.00 dollars, and with a matching donation from the company I work for the total will be 2800.00, which is a nice little sum!
Once again I can't thank everyone enough, both the people who donated funds as well as all of the contributing artists.
Together we will make a differnce in a child's life somewhere:thumbup:.
I am already thinking of next year's effort, so this is to all of the talented maker's out there, I might be calling on you next!!!!!

Bravo, bravo!

Congrats to Marcel (Marcel54) on his good fortune. And.... I know he could uses a spot of sunshine and good tidings, as he is going through some especially hard times right now.

This is an omen to him.

John Cohea and Layla Taylor: YOU guys are incredible with your work and generosity! What a fine project.

Let's see the winning Bowie once again:

Marcel,
Sorry to hear about any difficult times you may be enduring, today seems to be a turning point of sorts..:)
Congrats on an exceptional piece.
And sheath,of course.

I sure wish I won that knife, but I knew going into this, that I never win draws or any of those things which is one reason I usually don't enter in them at all.
This time was different. I really liked the idea of getting behind some great knife makers to support their support for a good cause:thumbup:.

You guys really did a great thing, and I'm thankful to have had the opportunity to contribute at least a little something.
:)

Couldn't go to a nicer guy at a better time.

Congrats bro - I'm thinking of ya.

:) I'm pleased it's going to such a fine person and supporter of the custom knife community.
Congrats Marcel.

I got a little sick to my stomach looking at that knife. I can't believe how incredible it looks. I am very sorry I did not see this one earlier. I can believe some lucky duck won that knife.

I bet if you had just sold it, you would have raised more money than the raffle just because it is such an awesome knife. But then it would now have given all the regular joe's a chance to win.

First I want to congratulate John and Layla on realizing this project for the second year running.

Man I'm so pleased with this win. This is the first time in my life that I have won something in a lottery and at what a time. As Coop mentioned I consider it an omen.

Thanks guys for all the (moral) support and uplifting words. I'm sure the good vibes will help in getting my daughter back to full health.
