The one you see above by Eric Wong!

Congratulations to Eric on his awesome knife!

The Odessa II has simple yet graceful flowing lines and is sure to be a wonderful piece!

I will get with Tom and we will get the Talonite to a maker and get 2 of these made. One for Eric Wong and one for Jake Evans and maybe one for me too!

Great job and thanks to all who entered.
I had no idea that we had so many aspiring knife designers out there. There are some really KICK ASS designs in this contest and picking a winner was not easy according to the judges.

Who was the runner up and just out of the win column?

Sergiusz Mitin's design above came in a very close 2nd.

Thanks again and a big round of applause to Tom Walz for donating these awsome prizes!

Congrat's to Eric Wong. That was one of my favorites. Mitin's also another one I liked.

Wonder who is going to make them?

Has anyone heard anything on what the handle material will be? Let's hope its some nice stabilized wood or stag and not G-10 or some other synthetic. What do you think about this, Eric? It is, after all, your design.

Jake

Don't thank me, thank Tom. His idea, his contest, his money, his Talonite. I am just the facilitator.

An excellent design. Sorry I was out of town when the vote was taken. Not that it mattered. I probably would have voted for this beauty. Mike; stop stealing my lines about being a facilitator, you turkey!

Thanks all! I'll post a pix when it's finished.
BTW Mike, Do you know who will be making the knife?

ERIC WONG.

This Contest was So Cool!
Congtraz Eric, you should be very proud.
Looks like the Wong Knife was the Wight knife!

Eric,

I will be contacting a few makers soon. I want to make sure we get the right maker for the job and that it can be made in a reasonable time for you.

My first choice is natuarally Rob, but I am sure he is backed up right now and this would not help as it would be a new design. Send me an email with your snail mail address as well.

Hi Mike,

Thanks!

Any maker you choose will be fine with me, I'm happy enough to have my knife design made and in Talonite. WooHoo!

I'll email you the details. Thanks again!

P.S: PhilL - Yup! It's the Wong knife alright, but it came out Wight!
