This one is almost done. Only 3 knives left (4 if you count the one remaining in my other thread).
Those remaining knives are:
Lon Humphrey
Da Brute $140.00 SOLD to jimbolate
http://lonhumphreyknives.com
Forged from 1084 steel (I believe it is 1084- I am not positive though)
1/4 inch at the spine. Curly Maple handles, with a black liner. This one has Mosaic pins.
Lon does terrific work and this knife is a fine example of that. This knife is as delivered by the maker. It comes with a leather sheath (the sheath says Bark River on it and came with the knife when I bought it). The sheath is not a perfect fit in my opinion, but it does hold the knife (it is a bit tight in my opinion)
I think this would make an excellent hard use knife. It has a bit of heft to it and would almost certainly be a great choice for batonning wood.

Roach Belly - $140.00
1/8th" 01 steel. Torched Oak handles.Brass pins
This knife is unused.
1 of 3 Roach Belly knives John has made. It is offered at a substantial discount from the price I paid.
There are some scuff marks on the blade. I sharpened it with the Work Sharp and the plastic guides tend to scuff up the blade. The scuff marks should buff out, but I haven't made the attempt.
There is something primal about this knife - it just feels like you're back in the frontier days when holding this one. It's got a great balance to it, with enough belly to justify everyday kitchen use. This knife would be the perfect tool for camp or general use.
If it doesn't sell at this price, I will keep it.

RUSK - $140.00
3/16th" 01 steel. Ebony handles with red liners
This knife is unused.
1 of 3 that John has made.
It has some heft to it and is balanced very well. This would be my choice of knives if I needed a rugged tool to puncture things and split firewood. I think this knife would also make a very fine slicer - thanks to the curve of the blade. It comes with a leather sheath.

Once two of those 3 (above) knives are sold, the remaining knife (from those 3) will be gifted to one of the people who bought a knife. That list of names is featured below (and includes everyone who has thus far bought one of the knives I have listed for sale).
The 3 knives are all roughly equal in value - somewhere in the range of $175 to $200 (that is what I paid for them) - so someone is going to get (absolutely free) a very nice knife.
Thank you very much to those who have bought one of the knives I've listed. I will hold the drawing as soon as the next two knives are sold.

I accept paypal, USPS Money Orders, and personal checks (held until cleared). I will ship USPS priority mail, signature required, with insurance. Those who live outside the lower 48 (CONUS) will be responsible for additional shipping costs. I'll use the USPS website to approximate actual shipping costs. The prices listed include all costs for those in the lower 48 (CONUS).
Please post that you will take the knife, then contact me (email is best) for my paypal (or mailing) address. First in, first out - the first person claiming the knife, wins the knife.
Please - no lowball offers. The prices listed are extremely fair and far less than what I paid for the knife.
At these prices I cannot offer a return policy. If you feel I have somehow misrepresented the condition of the knife, please contact me. Otherwise, the knife is sold as is.
I will offer a discount if multiple knives are purchased at one time. That saves me shipping costs; which will be passed onto you. Take $5 off each additional knife purchased.
There is 1 production knife still up for sale. I will leave that thread up until that knife sells, or until 2 of the 3 custom knives sell. If the production knife sells, that buyer will also be included in the drawing for the free custom knife. That sales thread is located: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/sh...7#post11946797
