You can probably u/l the avatar now. Expect more breakage where ever there is uploading. Filesystem permissions have been locked down a bit, probably too much in certain places. Gotta keep the hax0rs out.

First off, I'd like to thank Spark for the honorable mention in regards to the servers. I'm just glad I was able to help out my fellow forumities with a small contribution. I too will be watching the server(s) closely to see how they hold up. I know the hardware is up to the job, now let's just hope the software holds up it's end of the bargain.

From what I can see though, things seem to be ticking along just fine. :D

In the next while, and with Spark's permission, I may have a little treat for some of you to enjoy. I can't say much more than that right now, but I do hope I can share it with you all.

For now, I'm gonna kick back, pop a cold one, and enjoy the sailing...

Steven I can't be sure on the basis of information provided, but suspect the difficulty might be where you are attempting to upload FROM. Geocities for example wont permit that.

Spark all the best for the new digs, as we say here (and in the UK).

Well done _ender and Bacon01 - pretty decent from the sound of things.

I'm simply trying to send the picture from my computer. It is under 120x120 and is only 3KB...
 
They're still working on the software issues guys. I would chill and give it a day for things to settle out, and for them to find all the issues and resolve them. Remember, a lot of the features have been disabled for a while, and they need to test them bit by bit before making them available.

There's been a hell of a lot of work done in the last week, but it's coming along just great.

Colin -- Haven't heard from you in ages! Guess you've been pretty busy. The local knife shop has a model 18 you need to check out. And buy it for me. :D

Yes, it has been some time since we chatted. You're assumption that I've been quite busy for the last while is right on the money. We're down one body at the shop, and I've been swamped trying to keep things on track, and take over someone else's work. Not very fun at all.

I'll try and shoot you an e-mail tomorrow, and catch you up on things. As for the Model 18, I'm actually over that phase now....thank God...it can wait a while. I've got some new stuff on order, and I'm sure it's going to keep me occupied. Of course, it's all hush-hush until I can actually write something about it, but it's coming...

You guys really did a great job! Now my wife is no longer calling me a lost hang around the house sorry butted brat with a whiney attitude. Oh, yeah, and crabby, too. Snif. Thanks, guys, and my wife thanks you profusely, too!
