This Andaltool knife is being touted as the best thing since sliced bread.
Got it Monday and it was posted for sale yesterday....

That's correct. The Skookum is a far superior knife than the Andaltool. I bought the Andaltool not knowing the Skookum was going to be ready as it was 6 years ago that I ordered it.

You keep putting words in my mouth, I never said the Andaltool was the best thing since sliced bread, of even close to the beat knife available, but it is a better knife than those mentioned here. I may just end up keeping it as my beater knife.

Not sure why you people who never even held one thinks it not as good as your Jakkari knives? I at least have owned them and can give an opinion.

I think a better question would be "What's next week's knife".

Because this knife was Excellent knife, and superb quality

Then just a week later the next knife was a far superior knife

So the third knife in a few days time is going to be mind blowing.

it’ll be a koster kickstarter

It is an excellent

It is an excellent knife, never said it wasn't. The Skookum is a better knife, and I knew that when I bought the Andaltool. Third knife to add to my already 100 plus knives, how knows, maybe a Turley.

If you want to discuss the knives that's fine, but if you want to be snarky and push buttons, please find another thread to troll.

It feels to me that hyperbole you describe these knives with is part of the problem with the no one agreeing with your assessments.

My discussion of those knives is that other one it it's day was groundbreaking but it's quality and more importantly availability has been thoroughly eclipsed more knives that I can count on all my fingers. This one is thoroughly meh and not even very Canadian.

That's your opinion. Now please find another thread or I'll report you just as I was reported for being snarky. Good day.

What makes the skookum better? Do you have any pictures of it?
Well, its made of unobtainium and it takes 6 years to make one. It must be the best knife ever made....until the next one comes along....
It looks like all the other bushcraft knives, except it has a steel cap on the pommel....

The steel is better, I got mine in A2. The handle is more comfortable to me, and the addition of the pommel plate are a plus as well. I also like the higher bevel on the Skookum, and the sheath is outstanding.
A2 is not a good steel if you are looking for a decent quality bushcraft knife. Its good if you want a shiny toy that doesn't stain, thats about it...A2 might hold an edge slightly longer but its harder to sharpen and you can't get a good spark off it if you need to make a fire. O-1, 1095, or any good high carbon steel, stainless is crap when it comes to survival knives.

Why is stainless crap when it comes to survival knives?

You truly know nothing about steel..... A2 is an excellent steel, and is very easy to sharpen if you have any sharpening skills. And for your information it will throw a spark with Flint, not as good as 01, but it WILL throw a spark. And A2 is not a stainless steel. Now go start trouble in another thread.
