So I place my order for the knives I want, once is a custom and the other is a mid tech, got a price and I send him the money on paypal.
I am super excited and i see he posts another knife and so I order that one also.

3days go by and no word that he has gotten my money so I post on FB that the money was paid that same day and no reply back, did you get the money or did I do
something wrong. Granted I about $2000.00 wrapped up in paypal going to South Africa and I want to know if he got the money and is clear on the order.

So i email him and still no reply. Today he gets back to my post and says that he was not aware I sent the money and De Friends me on FB and says he is going to refund me right now.

I just want my knives but since he de friended me I cannot even get a comment back to him.

Paypal refunds me and that JACK ASS will not even speak to me anywhere , than today I see a post that says he will no longer ship to anyone that FB page does not match up to the Paypal email.

Well my FB is my business account and my Paypal is personal. Still I have no way of getting to talk to him, and what a frustrating experience.

has some great knives but jesus, he has made it impossible for me to get them. WTF

If you had posted this in the correct section, you'd have found multiple threads about this scumbag. I personally would never give him a dime. Good luck, man.

Facebook and knife makers.. seems good, but I won't ever deal with a maker strictly through facebook or facebook auctions..

Don't be stupid.. makers aren't all crooks.. but some are.

AND, you should have checked GBU on this forum to see how many people have had issues with him.

Good knifemaker, bad businessman.

Unbeknownst to many here, he's actually been making knives for a long time. You never heard a peep about him being shady until he started to run everything through FB.

If you had done your research before sending him your money you would have seen this not out of character for him.

Here we go again...Another person NOT doing their research or reaching out to other BF members BEFORE dropping cash down..
My suggestion for makers such as Him..
Dealing thru these media sites--Instagram and FB---What do many expect too happen.
NO concrete track record--MOST BS...Others brought in too plug the maker.
HE maybe an outstanding maker-- BUT treating people LIKE crap is UNEXSCUSABLE...
STEER Clear and deal with dealers or THRU a dealer to place an order.
DEALERs will have to get small fee..BUT in hindsight--I would pay it.................

If I were you, I'd be happy that he refunded the money so that I could wash my hands of the whole thing and move on.

Who wants to own a knife made by someone with a poor reputation?

If you in fact got all your money then count yourself lucky that you dodged the bullet.

want one of this Maker's knives then buy one of the secondary market. Dealing directly with him, based on all the research found on BFC is a crapshoot.

With so many good makers, who are good businessmen, good communicators, good BFC Members why deal with one who cares only about himself?

You may not feel this way now; Just be glad you got your money back. Be glad it did not get tied up with him.
In my opinion the knife business (especially custom) is just as much about the people as it is the knife.

Wow. Thanks for sharing. I almost bought a mid tech butcher from him. Reach out to Farid Mehr. He is outstanding to work with and his knives are some of the best I've ever owned.

Or...if you insist as some do on owning a specific knife (nothing wrong with that I guess), but from a store and not directly from the manufacturer. That is why so many companies like BladeHQ, Knifeworks, Knifecenter, and others. They can provide you with the item you want, without any of the BS. If it turns out that the knife is not what you expected or are dissatisfied, you may be able to exchange it for something else. I know that people have had similar difficulties with other manufacturers when trying to buy direct.

I have a blacked out Tac Butcher(purchased from an authorized dealer) that I carry every day. It's a jewel. After reading countless negative threads about this maker, I would rather gargle with broken glass than deal direct with him.
