Yes, Phillip, that is really ironwood.

And IMHO a very pretty peace of it.

Mr. de Villiers made a wonderful knife for me. :)

Congratulations...terrific knife (I have one too...lol)...the guy is good!

I actually have several of Andre's pieces.., not a flaw in one of them.

I am a BIG fan of his knives. I have an Advocate, but yours is sooo much nicer than mine!:grumpy:

The Advocate really geels good in the hand and has a very useable blade shape- it is one of my favorites.:D

Andre made this one espacialy for me, with desert-iron-scales and golden anodizied liners.

He has done a fantastic job. :D

That's exquisite! You lucky dog you!
Great pics too!
I have one of Andre's Scavengers, and his workmanship is
fantastic. I just love the wood on yours! Simply beautiful.

Thanks for sharing.:)

I also like the fact that he used Slotted Screws, shows i'm not the only one!

Really not, I know a lot of guys which love them.

I had seen the original advocate at a friend of mine. But I didn´t love that tactical look with black micarta.

So, I asked Andre de Villiers, if it was possible to build one for me with desert-iron-wood-scales.
He did it and he made the golden liners on it, which IMHO is very beautyful.

He´s a nice guy an i can really recommend him to anyone who wants a fantastic knife.
