Hello, I had a knife made by Andre de Villiers last month and would like to share my experience here. Since I could not reach his company by email, I contacted him personally via Facebook messenger. I live in Germany and here there was no possibility to get some special models. The US dealer who sells these models does not ship to Europe. So I contacted Mr de Villiers directly and asked him if he could help me. He asked me about my ideas and made me a knife according to my ideas. The knife was ready extremely quickly despite my numerous special requests. He sent me several photos and asked if it was ok. I agreed and he shipped it. The knife got to me in just 6 days and is flawless and looks even better than the photos. I am very satisfied with the product and the service and can recommend it to others!

I wil assume OP is being honest unless info comes out to the contrary. Isn't Andre one of the South African knife makers?
He customized a "mini cleaver" for me. I didn't know how to upload pics here, I have a big bunch of other knifes, 67 Spyderco's, one Pohl-Force, two Eickhorns, one Böker Manufaktur and three Cold Steel.

I'm surprised that the shipping time was so fast from USA to Europe. Even Fedex priority usually takes around 10 days.
I regularly ship from Slovakia - EU - to USA. Registered mail reached US New York USPS within 4 days.
EDIT - working days. Then couple of days more until delivered. It depends on USPS network where adresee is located.

Yes that would be prolly 10 days. I agree with you that shipping from country to country is relatively fast. It is the time in customs, or after customs that is the longest.
An example : last package from France to USA left on 09/28 and arrived on 10/01. But it was delivered on 10/11.
