Andre de Villiers

Andre's knives are first class. Several of the ones on his site were designed to my specs and they are incredible.

He's easy to work with, very reasonable on pricing compared to his egocentric competition, and an all around nice knifemaker who listens to his clients.

He's making a few more for me now, a custom Operator with scales I sent him from the States, a persian of new design, and another we haven't decided upon yet.

By the way, the new EDC with Damascus (Damasteel from Europe) blade is incredible for a Gent's sized folder. Be sure to get the thumb disc (rectangular) and not the stud if you order that one.

I wish you guys would quit talking about Andre's knives. I broke down and ordered a button lock Pathfinder. I have to blame someone for this. roflmao

I got a super nice looking Andre de Villiers High-Point a few weeks ago. It has a nickel damascus blade with titanium liners and bolsters, carbon fiber scales, lots of fancy filework, and to top it off, a purple amethyst inlaid in the thumbstud and the buttonlock. I really like Andre's work. That buttonlock is too cool.

I've seen Michael's ADV and it is a beautiful specimen! There is one major problem with it, he wouldn't sell it to me

With tears in my eyes, I got an ADV button lock Pathfinder last week. Very pleased with it. I put a little tuf-glide on the pivot and backed it off about 1/4 turn and it is the slickest pivot action I have ever felt. Still no blade wobble. This is a good,nice looking heavy duty folder.
