For sale:

An Andre Thorburn L36s Flipper with richly hued Ironwood handles and textured stainless steel bolsters. This is a **handmade and one-of-a-kind** knife and an excellent example of Mr. Thorburn's engineering and aesthetic skill-set. The blade is N690, in a clip-point with satin finish on the grind and polished flats. The blade deploys VERY smoothly and with great authority using the IKBS ball-bearing system (I have owned, and own, many examples of Mr. Thorburn's work and this ranks amongst the smoothest I've encountered - if you don't like the way this flips, you simply won't like any of Mr. Thorburn's work). The knife also has a nice thumb ramp with jimping - something a bit rare for his smaller flipper models that is a very nice addition and grabs the thumb securely. The liners and lock-bar are blue anodized titanium, with detailed file-work on the spine that displays an array of beautiful colors.

Lock-up is rock-solid with no blade play in any direction. The knife has been excellently cared for and not taken apart.

I sell this reluctantly only to make room for another custom. There is nothing wrong with the knife and I would ideally keep it, but, alas, money must be freed.

Though I have not carried the knife, it has been been professionally and expertly sharpened to a ridiculously sharp convex edge using Japanese water-stones thus removing a minimum of material (as is typical, it was not particularly sharp from the maker - it now has a razor's edge). The man who sharpened both of these knives actually gave a sharpening lesson to Mr. Thorburn himself during a recent visit to the US - at which time I had the pleasure of meeting him.

Comes with a protective fleece lined pouch and certificate of authenticity with details about the knife from the dealer from whom it came.

Blade length: 3.20 in.
Total length: 7.50 in.
Knife weight: 4.08 oz.

My price is $720 flat. Paypal only - marked as "goods".

Thanks for looking.

The second knife up for sale:

Another **hand made and one-of-a-kind** folding knife - this one by South African knifemaker Herucus Blomerus. The stainless damascus blade is high contrast and beautifully done. The blade is opened via a right handed thumb stud closely positioned to the bolster. It is perfectly centered and has very smooth movement, with no blade play. Handle scales are formed from beautiful reconstituted marble (something I haven't seen before). The golden veins contrast wonderfully with the black stone. Bolsters are stainless steel and hand engraved in a basket weave pattern with subtle floral motif. Titanium liners are anodized blue and are hand fileworked in a vine pattern.

Lock-up is rock-solid with no blade play in any direction.

This knife has also been professionally and expertly sharpened to a ridiculously sharp convex edge. This might very well be the sharpest knife I own.

Blade length: 3.00 in.
Total length: 7.20 in.
Knife weight: 3.60 oz.

Comes with a protective fleece lined pouch and certificate of authenticity with details about the knife from the dealer from whom I bought it.

I'm asking $750 flat. Paypal only - marked as "goods". I am selling this at a loss...

Again, there is nothing wrong with the knife, it is a beautiful piece by an up-and-coming maker. I sell simply to free money for a custom I have coming in.

Please post "I'll take it" in the thread and follow that up with a PM or email (fowlerds@gmail.com) for payment information. I'll take care of shipping (CONUS via first class) and insurance. Please pay promptly - I reserve the right to cancel a pending sale if payment is not sent within 2 hours.
