Realized I've been accumulating Andre Thorburns like a nutcase recently and need to thin the herd of knives that won't see any carry time, no matter how much I enjoy them otherwise.

So, reluctantly, I have up for sale two real beauties, and remarkable examples of Andre's work.

First up is an L51 flipper in carbon fiber...the texturing is fantastic on the CF and it feels great in the hand, this is a much more "tactical" style knife than Thorburn is usually known for (as you will see with my second knive offered below). This is also hands down the smoothest flipper I have ever handled...the thing literally rockets out faster than any auto. Gorgeous M390 blade (unusual choice for Andre as he usually works in N690, granted the two steels are very similar), differentially finished in satin and high polish flats, extremely sharp. This is a recent knife so it comes with a card with the specs from Andre. Blade length is 3.75". Very nice carbon fiber pocket clip as well finishes the knife in addition to the hand filed titanium backspacer.

The pictures will speak for themselves on this piece:

Asking $SOLD for the L51.

Second up, a brand new L16 liner lock folder with stainless bolsters and gorgeous desert ironwood scales (desert ironwood has an almost translucent quality to it in the light, definitely one of my favorite woods and supposedly very difficult to work with due to hardness). This is a surprisingly light knife with an almost wharncliffe style blade making it very practical as a user, however I have never carried it myself. Has unique filework on the backspacer, compared to Andre's usual "scalloped" style backspacer finishing. This knife and blade are very slim and slice with ease due to the profile. Blade is perfectly centered. I was told this was one of the last if not the last non-flipper folder that Andre is likely to make, as he is currently at the top of his game on his flippers and most likely he is focusing on those designs.

Here's the pictures of the L16:
