Well it's sitting here next to me and hard to believe, but after 9 months my Andrew Demko Custom AD-10 has arrived. This isn't really a review but just some pics to share with you guys. Sorry, they could have been better but I took them in the middle of a busy day.

This is the "Large version" of the AD-10 and it's a crazy big brute of a folder. The biggest folder I've ever owned. I've had a Rajah 1 but this guy is about as heavy and gives the impression of much more strength! It's smooth as glass and easy to open. The lock is easy to disengage and the longer blade allows it to be thumb flicked open after starting it with the thumbstud and the slightest flick of the wrist. SNAP! :D

Not sure on blade thickness same as standard AD-10 or not?
CPM 154 blade 4" - with 3.75" cutting edge
.050" Ti liners
Contoured G-10 scales
Ti back spacer
Ti pocket clip

Mine hopefully will be born in early 2012.

Tough waiting.

Congrats - looks like a bruiser.

if it is heavier than the rajah 1 then you might also want to get a good belt because it will pull your pants down.

Congrats, awesome knife. :D

Told you that you would love it. :)

Glad to see you made it to the Demko Support Club!

I have tried a couple searches with no results. How can I contact Mr Demko about having a folder made?

That is an absolute BEAUTY!
Congrats I wish you well to use it.:)
Mine should arrive towards the end of the year.......Have fun

Thanks guys. It's ridiculously cool. Someone commented that it would pull your pants down. That's what I was thinking about too. It's a real brick. The knife far exceeded what I thought it would be, it's definitely a bomb-proof folder.

I was bugging Ankerson and aking him if it would be hard to unlock - it's 1/2 the thumb tension of the the Recon 1 which is sitting below it and buttery smooth. Also, the unsharpened area is just enough to allow the blade to drop on my index finger for one handed closing.

I can't wait until later this evening so I can play with it! :D

wildmike - you can reach Mr. Demko at: "demkoknives at yahoo dot com" just take out "at" and put the asterisk and add a period for the word "dot" and squeeze them together. I don't want to post the email because of bots that harvest email addresses. Good luck.

Man, all these Demko threads sure aren't making it any easier for me to wait for mine. ;) Awesome knife!

Lookin' good! Congrats on a fine knife.

Yeah, now you understand what I was talking about. :D

It's a whole new world compared to those production CS blades Huh? ;)

He makes huge folders! Does he make smaller sized(normal in reference) folders? Looked for pictures, but didn't find any.

Andrew consistently delivers quality. Tha man is a machine!!!
I'm anxious to get mine soon. I opted for CF rather than G10, might as well go big.
Nice job AD!

Yeesh redefines "Tough" lol

Every single one of these seem to reek of quality and satisfy the customer.

Kudos at the least!

That's so nice and what they really look like. I have a crappy camera compared to yours. Hey Ank, my knife's blade came with about a 50* angle on one side and 35* to 40* on the other side. You can probably see it doesn't have much of a bevel on it. Andrew probably knows we're going to put the edge we want on it. It snags/tears paper in a couple of spots. I stropped the cr*p out of it last night but nothing.

I have a DMT Magna-guide that I sharpen my knives with. I use it or freehand with the Dia-folds. I have a Sharpmaker too but it would never set the profile without taking a month. What do you think I should shoot for about 40* inclusive edge? I'm not shooting for a paper thin edge but strong utility one.

It has to be done tonight as I hate having knife that's not shaving sharp. :)
