Check Demkos IG. Scroll down a bit. He has some fixed blade beauties and one axe in super tough .290 thick 1v and also in 3v.

Demko doesn't mess around with heat treating either! I saw an old video once of Andrew pounding an AUS10 Free Reign into a pallet with a ball peen hammer! I would absolutely trust any knife made from any steel that they put their name on!

I'd like to see more Cru-Wear from Demko ... and I'd be curious to hear Andrew's take on how it compares, if he's ever tested it.

(They are both great steels, IMO. Two of my favorites.)

Didn't realize they inspect comp choppers for damage after runs and it can result in disqualification.

The video in the first link was pretty interesting! I found out that Vasco Die and Vasco Wear were the predecessors to 3V and CruWear and were developed right in my home town of Latrobe, PA! I actually used to live about 5 miles from the Vasco plant on the same road. I still drive past that plant everyday on the way to work!
