Just got an email from him... Did this mod back in 06 when I was a meth addict living in a dope house. I tweaked on it and turned it into a waved double edge perfect pikhal knife. This knife project served 2 purposes. First, all the regular customers saw me tweaking on this knife and they saw me practicing my wave draw and a little FMA. Second, it was a knife and did all my EDC tasks. Sent it to Demko after Richard J cleaned up my grinds in 08. Demko did a full Ti backspacer and second stop pin as well as an increase of screw size and sharpening.

Before pics...

You do and have had done some really neat regrinds and refurbs:thumbup:. Kinda makes me want to go out and experiment on a few of my less expensive knives.

Only an ex-tweaker! :p Your refurb bills on your project knives must be staggering CM.

Not enough hours in the day anymore huh, but at least your work quality has improved 1,000%. :D

Thanks bro, Its amazing what you can do when you have proper tools. I did this with 2 Dremels.

Well, I was kinder when I first saw the C-M-ed 630 some years ago, my search for my NIB 630 still being fresh in my mind then. Perhaps I am just displaying my elderly flatulance stature, but... loving the 630 Skirmish as I do, your conversion evokes screams of:

The Horror!

Of course it is your knife...

I wonder if BM would still reblade it for $25 - $30?

Stay on your meds...

Sure, just send in the handle and snap most of the blade off. I don't know if there's a different price now but it cost me about $30 for a new blade and shipping charges a few years ago. :D :D

I'm a huge Neil Blackwood fan, so to me, this is kind of blasphemy.

This is one crazy looking knife. I don't think BF will ever forget this :)
Skirmish is a great candidate for a refurb job. I would get a NEW BLADE with fancy (or not) steel and wave that looks like it belongs there.

Looks like an Emerson Commander, but non-recurve and with patterned Ti handles.

That looks bad ass!

His work is impeccable. New Ti spacer, larger screws, New larger stop pin, new pivot and a helluva killer bead blast!

Thanks again Andrew.

I'm glad that you're happy with your modified Benchmade Skirmish BM630, If I woke up to find mine like that I'd need therapy.

+1 Charlie Mike has peculiar tastes and that makes life enjoyable but in regard to that folder I'd be bitterly weeping myself and wondering what I drank or smoked the previous night.
