sounds like a job for a 1/4" thick,flat-ground,10" bladed MonsterMuk, 16" OAL...:D
edited to add: seeing as how there's already a MonsterMuk design offered by Mr.Engnath (3/16 inch thick steel, 6 inches of cutting edge and 11 and 1/8" overall)
I guess I could call mine a... WolfMuk?
Imagine the offspring of a Chopweiler and a TacMuk...:D

Nah... I want your blade in one hand and the Linebaugh in the other.

I gotta prototype in the works...
Which Linebaugh,
the .38-40 Ruger?

Nope- The .475 Linebaugh. I bailed on the .500 when brass was reported to be drying up ...the supply, that is. The .475 is almost all the .500 ever was unless you plan African hunts, and I do not.

Glat to hear of the prototype.:D

I take it the performance difference isn't enough to justify doing your own reloads?
As for the proto,
I'm going to be submitting the revised 'Muk design to my knifemaker buddy in a couple of days, and might get the proto an a month or so.(I'm revising the handle design;I don't like it as is).
We're talking about CPM 3V along with S30V and S30VN and a couple of other steels, and as he happens to have some 3V on hand, the proto might be in that...
If it performs like we think it will (yes,I'll be posting performance results,in another thread),
the proceeds from sales will purchase more steel for the WolfMuk chopper,
and provide funds for the development of the folding Tac'Muk.
My only real concern with 3V is corrosion resistance, but as I live on the Island, and am within 15 minutes walking distance from the 'chuck,
I figure this salt air environment will prove it out in short order.
I'll start a thread with the revised 'Muk design over in the Canadian Connection; come on over and have a looksee!

Small World. My wife's sister and brother-in-law are just a mile or two away from you in Danville, just off Camino Tassajara. I really like that hill country you're in. I hope they don't develop the entire valley to your south.

That makes (at least) two of us, my friend. I can still shoot off my deck, but direction is somewhat limited now- Gotta make sure of a good backstop.
