Andrew Picture...two days of recovery

Ren, that's great, all things considered! He'll be OK now. Keep telling him "That which doesn't kill me only makes me stronger." I'll bet he hurts everywhere right now, but he will heal in time.

He is going to have a helluva' story to tell. Even with the swelling he looks just like you. I hope he has the same sense of humour.

If he's anything like his oldman Andrew will be back in top form in no time, glad he's home with you guys and I hope his recovery is speedy.

Take care of your family and well tak care of the PTs.

I am really glad to see the boy up and around. What a scare, especially for his parents...but also for the rest of us yahoos.

Tell Andrew I swear to do my very best to make sure this picture never gets any further than BF!! [Whew, if it was me...I'd want the picture burned and the ashes scattered!]

Glad to hear that your son is going to be okay. My son broke his collar bone wrestling back in February and I was a nervous wreck for a couple days. What you and your son have went (and are going) through is 100 times worse. Please continue with the updates.

Holy Crap! I've been away for a bit and came back to this! I can't begin to think how terrified you must have been.

Ren, I'm truly glad to see your boy up and running around. Amazing how tough kids are. I think I'll go give mine a hug now. Take care and my best wishes to you and your son.

David

Teach the kid to cook ! There are thousands of soups he can make that are delicious and nutritious .Milk shakes too .Lots of fruit available now they make great shakes.

Glad to hear Andrew is okay and his prognosis is good. Still praying for a speedy recovery with no hitches. Hope he is eager to ride with you as soon as he is able. My boy and I put in many miles through tough times and we both miss that quality time together now...... God bless you and yours.

I'm glad your son is okay- we'll keep praying for him. Having one's jaw broken is no picnic. I had my jaw broken and wired shut for two months and it was the worst thing that ever happened to me. It's amazing how much you miss being able to chew your food. It becomes an all-consuming preoccupation when you can't do it- you dream of chowing down on hamburgers, crunching carrots etc. I lost 30 pounds with my jaw wired shut, it was horrible (I went from 150 to 120)- I looked like a famine refugee towards the end. I was always a skinny guy who didn't care about food until I couldn't have any for 2months. After that, I began to enjoy food much, much more. I no longer weigh anything near 150 pounds!

Buy your son some cases of Ensure, and Slim-Fast, and the weight-gainer protein shakes that bodybuilders use. That'll keep him going. If there are any gaps large enough in his mouth- he can squirt that Easy-cheese stuff in the can through the opening. Your son seems like a tough kid, hopefully he'll pull through like a champ.

All the best,

Andy

My Lord Ren... :( That is some pic. Your son is a trooper.

I sure hope he is okay again , very soon.
