I just watched the Kalahari episode of Bizzare World. They actually showed some bushcraft in this episode. Does anyone know what knife Zimmern has on his belt?

He actually did an episode about survival food. He did training with experts, which looked good, and then he 'stranded' himself alone on a pacific island to survive for several days.

He had zero 'strange food' qualms and did a lot of solid bush craft and machete work. He even applied a bit of knowledge he had gained elsewhere in his foodie career to find some shelfish he had seen natives gather on another island in a diffrent episode. Several thousand miles away and he found the same species and knew it was edible and easy to gather from his previous experience.

He did well.

i like the premise of his show, but i can't stand the on-camera persona of zimmern; he is a dork...at best he is mediocre...i think his best work is behind the camera not in front of it...but plenty think otherwise, so there he is...

He is a dork but so am I so I like him.:D

As to the OP, not sure what knife he used in that episode but I've noticed he carries a knife in all his episodes or most of them. He's probably a knife guy like us.

He does indeed. I've seen him use a Gerber multitool and a Kershaw Blur, to name a couple.

He is a total dork, but it's hard to *not* like the guy, he's so damn amiable :)
