Since the folks in my office already consider me insane [guess that is what a FAL in the corner and a Kimber with Blades all around it will do for ya

], the packages didn't even get noticed!

The Variant is with this handle is a magical piece, the long blade...well, I am just staring at it wondering if I should try it out on a desk leg. haha What a day. Hell a poppin' all over, but I have the serenity of two magnificent new blades. Independence Day indeed!

Thank you both.

Bruce...I am so glad!!! I just sent you a note asking if you got them yet....you can disregard it.

That sword made me look at things in my home a different way too!!!

Enjoy and keep us posted on your experience with them...

Well, Andy, these blades are awesome.

The SH-E...what a difference this handle makes. This is the knife that should be carried under everyone's coat. Seriously, this will have hog blood all over it by fall

The sword, is really beyond words. The photo did it no justice at all. To look at it, the edge seems hard to locate. When you play with it though, you find out that you don't locate the edge because the whole damned blade is an edge!! One draw against the left forearm and viola! Racing stripe right through the hair
smile.gif
Heavy, yet somehow light, isn't it? Balanced perfectly, but with the heft to go through bone with just a decent swing. The edge? Well, in my best New Joysey accent GETTHA F*&% OUTTA HERE! It is sharper than anything I have owned, and that covers a lot of ground. Jerry deserves an ice cold import or 12 for creating this big mutha.

Prisco, you know these things are going to be used, right? No way these are going to be museum pieces. The sword literally begs for a rig to be carried across the back, something that will have to be built...and for a waterbuff's head to disconnect from its body

All in all, two blades that are exceedingly well done, sharp as razors, with beautiful balance. Special thanks to my brother in steel, Mel.

Oh, and let's keep this big blade between us, okay? I don't need the Sierra Club on my ass for the clear cutting that is gonna occur. haha

Seriously folks, this whole variant thing? Awesome. Get ahold of Andy, sell whatever you need to in order to get yourself some. No question, these are knives your grandchildren will cherish.

Thanks for the overnight too guys, very gracious.

I am real glad you got it. After handling that piece I considered it anything less than overnight delivery to be a sin.

I am sitting here playing with my e-variant SH. Just wait, I'll have a pair of Steel Heart variants with matching sheaths.

Our two variants have quite a story behind them. (Sorry guys, something not for everyone you would understand if you knew)

We are going to have to triangulate Indiana, Jersey, Ohio and Mississippi for a suitable location to have an INFI feast. We might even let Amy J, Heather, and Jennifer bring their husbands if they promised not to wear ties.

Mel, thank you.

There is something special about these knives, indeed.

I spoke with Andy a bit ago and told him, he strikes me as a gent who understands. Although both of these Busse Combats were originally made for others, they both made their way home today. Some knives, like boots, just never fit. It is not a product of cost, or design, but something intangible. I have owned such knives, and boots, and hunting hounds, but never for a long time. When you find the ones that fit though, you never let them leave your hand, your feet, or your place.

Thanks for getting this E-handled Variant SH home to me Mel.

As for those fine ladies allowing their husbands to tag along, something just doesn't seem right about that, but, as you wish.

staightblastpfs,
Hopefully one day i will have a Busse sword and we can do some comparing of notes. Till then... I hate you for having one. Seriously you have a nice sword there. Love it and take care of it and it will defend you against anything. All but me and my Busse Sword. heh heh.
