I just acquired my first knife from Andy, a guardless Ladyfinger with a scandi grind. The F&F on the knife is extremely good, at least as good as what one could reasonably expect of a knifemaker with Andy's tenure in the business, and IMO, it is actually quite a bit better. The design, balance, and weight of the knife leave nothing to be desired. And it's not something that all makers can get right, but the level of sharpness is nothing short of superb. The knife easily push cuts ("shaves" may be a better description) minute curls of paper from a thin, easy to tear page from the local telephone directory, making it not just one of the sharpest knives I own, but easily one of the sharpest as received direct from the maker.
In a nutshell, great price + great knife + great knifemaker = someone from whom I will definitely buy again. Smart money says you can't go wrong here, folks!
Thanks again, Andy, for everything. Keep up the excellent work!
