I have three of my Angle Peen forging hammers for sale. All are forged and heat treated by me, and are made of 4140 steel. The angle peen is much more user friendly than standard cross or straight peen hammers. I heat treat all my hammers to be softer than the anvil face (Rc 52-54), which means when you miss and strike the anvil face, the hammer face, rather than the anvil face will dent. Any of you who have made a dent in the face of your anvil and tried to fix it will understand what I mean.
I have 2- 2lb, right handed angle peens, and 1- 3lb right handed angle peen. All come with a "split" hickory handle already installed. The split handle helps absorb the shock of constant hammering, and also adds "snap" when swinging the hammer. All come with faces and peens mirror polished (you can see me taking the pic in the face of the 3lb hammer at the bottom).
