animal-related jobs

 Why not try veternary assistant? What better for an animal lover than to heal all the wounded and sick critters you meet. It'd be a good first step to becomming a full vet if that floats your boat.

Your young, why don't you try and get something related to your BA. Thats why you went to college, to better your chances of a better paying job. When you have youth on your side you have everything.

Tried it; hated it. ;) That's why. Huge waste of money other than having it listed on my resume. I'll still be paying off the loans for at least another five years.

I interned with "Highlights" for children magazine. I was an "editorial/art" intern. The best part of that job was when they made me go up into the attic and sort through all the original artwork and stuff... Very inspirational just looking at some of the stuff! I collect childrens' antique/vintage books mainly for the illustrations.

savagesicslayer, that's what I'm aiming for at the moment. :)

Ming65, that would be cool :) but yes, I'd have to move.

I can't move; I own a home here and I really don't want to leave this area, although my current situation has put some stuff into my head... so you may be dealing with my questions about moving soon, or not (I hope, I hope... I don't wanna move!)

Ashes....Sometimes we have to take a job that we don't really like doing, if only just to accumulate some money and give us financial security. If you can achieve that, then I think you might like the job a whole lot better.

LOL!

dog groomers make a lot of money and make their own hours, schedule, etc.

Yep! Ron will show up in your driveway with a carload of unkempt canines :D

Set me up with a pet bath, a grooming table, blowdryers, clippers in all sizes, a few pairs of scissors, that powder stuff for if you accidentally clip too close on the claws, I forget what it's called... Um... lots of crates and those dryers you can attach to the crates... What else? Some "practice" dogs? lol... Someone send me all that and I'd be set. ;)
