Maybe I'm just crazy or maybe I'm looking to hard for something that's not there , but I could swear that I that I see claw marks very faintly, which is making me lean towards a canine either domestic dog or a fox

I think I see the dots you're talking about over the rightmost two toes of the rightmost track, right? But it looks like there are three dots over those two toes, which suggests that they're something else.

In any case the extreme lobing (lobedness?) of the bottom of the central pad points very strongly to cat. From the size, it seems like it would have to be a pretty small bobcat, which points towards house cat, domestic or feral. Bobcats are also a lot less likely to come around populated areas than house cats.

The tracks look like a domesticated cat, so does the facts about the size of the entry point. Should help keep the mouse population down.
