I've looked through this thread a few times now. There really are a lot of great designs. Just getting it down to (4) took so much effort, in the end I voted for Murphys Law. I spent some time on John's website. I went with Murphys because it not only looks different from John's other models, it also looks very useful and effective.
 
I voted for the bowie -

I like several of the designs, had it narrowed down to a short list - shotgun, mykel and the bowie.

I liked mykels - but went with the bowie in the end because I would like to see more of John's knives with the grind going all the way to the butt end of the blade.

I agree Michael. that was the same thought process i went through. many of the others are at least "similar" to John's current offerings. I ended up going with tlovesknives design....but, it was really a tossup with his and the murphys law design.

There are quite a few of these designs I would like to offer, so if the designers could send me permission to make their designs, if anyone wants them, I would be able to do them. With no permission, I will not make any of them.

PS. I might not be on too much over the next few days but if my design makes a last mad dash for the finish could you possibly select a random person from those that voted for it and make it for them instead of me. I've done pretty good from these forums over the years so I'd like someone else to get the satisfaction of using a JK Knife !

This is one of the major reasons why I like this particular forum so much. The people who frequent this forum are top-notch.
 
There isn't a design in here that wouldn't make me proud to own it. In fact I've studied the various designs (off and on) for several days; picking a different choice each time. I finally voted today and went with my gut feeling in the end - kyturkey got my vote, but I've got to admit that this was a very tough decision for me. In truth, I want them all to win and I'd love to have one of each. Hopefully all of the designs will be offered in John's lineup. Eventually, I'd end up with one of each.

Congrats to all of the designers. Awesome job.

Thanks to everyone who voted for me. I went with pitdog, I really dig that "reverse tanto" style of blade.

JK, since I designed this knife for this contest you have my permission to build it if you would like to. :) I'll email you anyway. Since I designed this in a CAD Program, I can provide some digital drawings and .PDF printable templates for you. Since I'm from Europe sending a Cardboard cutout is quite a chore so I'll only go with this if I should actually win. ;)

I don't know if my design was one that anyone wants but anytime I post a design and someone asks for it, please make it. I would be honored.
