For permission to make any of these designs, I need the designer`s permission by email. I made a knife for a guy once, I got an order for a knife like it from another customer. When I made it the original buyer sent me an email that he wanted a commision for the design! So I scrapped out the second knife.

That is unfortunate - but some people are just like that, always out for what they can (or think they can) get.

Reminded me of the time someone on this forum was having a give-away and asked people to post an original slogan for a specific knife manufacturer. One "gentleman" posted his "ideas" and then later said that he retained full intellectual rights blah blah blah.

The contest was ended and nobody was able to have fun in that thread.

I noticed here after I voted that I had two votes to cast, but I only voted once.

They are all great designs, and I sure hope that all of the folks who posted will relinquish the design rights to you as they should for being involved in the contest.

Perhaps next time you make that a stipulation of the entry; all designs become the property of JK Knives.

The way things are going, there won`t be a next time. There is probably going to be an announcement coming soon.
