Does anybody know how long the blade is going to be on this bad boy? Any other random bits of info on this knife would be appreciated.

I believe it will be ~6 1/2".
Word is that it will remain as true as possible to the original SH-I in ATS-34.

The same blade, I hope, but we need a SF handle on it. The space between the talon hole guard and the rear hole projection is just not enough on the original.

Noooooooo, sorry Mike, but Jerry, please keep the straight handle shape (maybe a little longer at most) so it will have the same comfortable feel! :D

Now hang on there a second Tim....I just might have to agree with Mike here. Yah, it may take away from the vintage Busse look but I agree with the tightness of the grip on these...at least my SHSH II was that way. It was the only complaint I had about those models...the grip was almost restrictive....almost. Putting Fusion handle on it would free up your hand alot! Not a bad idea Mike, would like to see it first though.

Maybe just a matter of lengthening the handle slightly?

Yes and no. I love the SF handles, but the straight handles are also very nice. Can't choose between them. Maybe an idea to make a SH-1 with SF and straight handles...:D :D

I know this is blasphamy, but the handle on my mini EU-17 is better than the straight handle on the SHBA:eek: . Period. The mini dances in the hand, almost alive. The SF handles RULE  :D

Anyone know where I can get more?

Any SHBA's that you may have will need to be sent to me for examination.
Your's are most certainly defective and need proper disposal which I will do at no cost to you.
Because I'm such a giver I'll even pay shipping. :D

This man is truly a HOG. What a giver!

The SHBA is already making the rounds, along with an OD. I beat em both good, and put them in circulation. The mini and a desert SH-E are my 'consolation' knives ;)

I would love to have it without the full birds beak. That would surely hurt your pinky when chopping.

I'll take it the way Jerry makes it.

He always seems to know what I want even before I want it. :)

If you want a SH1 like knife with a SF handle then find a SFNO.
I like the SH1 handle how it is. But that's just my opinion. I mean this isn't a new model it's an anniversary knife so it should be true to the original.

I suppose if you don't like it, don't buy it.

Yeah right. :p :D

I agree - keep it the same, please. Otherwise, it's not an SH1... :D

I love the style of the SH1, and can't wait to get my mitts on the newest version...

If we COULD FIND SFNO's, we wouldn't be thinking of asking for modded SH1's.
Still waiting (for at least 4 more weeks) for an Anni SH1 and 2 SFNO's, not necessarily in that order. Pete

Would it be considered straying too far from the original to merely lengthen the straight handle design just a tad? Keeping the exact shape only a longer handle

Amen to that. If there were any way to buy an SFNO then it wouldn't matter so much what the handle on the anniversary knife will be like. Personally, I'd rather see a handle more like the SHSH 2 on the anniversary knife and buy an SFNO seperately. But at the moment it doesn't look like either of those wishes will come true.

EXACTLY! If you don't like it then don't buy it. Don't ruin it for the rest of us by wanting it changed. Jerry said he was making a SH1 model, not a SFNO model.

I was so excited when Jerry made the announcement. I thought I only had to hope that it wouldn't have the corrugated bevels. Now I've got to hope that it also doesn't have a different handle.
