Announcing the NEW 535GRY-1 Bugout

Sweet knife! The grey blade and the grey clip I really like. Honestly if the thumbstuds and spacers were smoke grey too I don’t know if I’d be able to resist buying it. I don’t like gold though so it makes resisting temptation easier. Still happily carrying my blue one every day.
 
I like this one a lot. The blue never really did it for me. My next folder will either be this one or a mini-grip.

I think Benchmade will sell a lot of these.
 
Throwing this out after all the “I wish” “they should of” of the original release in the ... introducing the 535 thread.

This knife I don’t think was ever aimed at being a hub cap puller, to be made of y3k super steel, weigh 5 .oz , and cost $1.5K !

Not everyone needs the above mentioned for a nice edc ! And the price reflects this in not being top tier pricing.
For those that don’t need “gold class” knives ... this is a nice example of being able to experience benchmade without breaking the bank.

Yea I know I’m new to this forum ... so let the veterans get their torches out. Let the roasting begin ! Maybe new here but not new to forums. I’m an established member on a high end fishing tackle forum and a few firearm forums. It’s the same in each product category.
We all want more and more and more !
But in reality not everyone is a super user or collector. Companies have to appeal in price and product use that is relative to all users.

For the record I’ve already preordered at Blade HQ and am excited to get it in to put right next to my other 535.

Specs state Tan.

Although gold goes with green too, this looks much better being a muted tan.

I approve!
 
Nice! I've wanted a Bugout since release, this might push me over the edge!
 
Very cool. I think this knife would be great in some high visibility colour considering its intended role.

That said I am waiting for a carbon fibre bugout which I think will be amazing.

The Grizzly Ridge is roughly the same price range.. just sayin

Sure enough does say tan; didn’t notice that. Guess I’ll have to see it in person some day cause in the pics it looks gold to me. I love everything else about the knife, except that.

They are quite different knives. I like the grizzly ridge and all but the bugout is an even nicer design to me.

I still think cf will turn the bugout up to ten. I don’t know if they will release it in that but I won’t be able to resist that.
