So, a -1 designation but with the same materials all-round and a pointier tip?

Same springs as on the first one?
It's not a -1 designation. It's a new blade design (318) with a -1 variant (red G10 handles). Similar setup to the 319/319-1.
Ohhh I see.
So it’s a different model that has identical materials, mechanism, handles, but a pointier tip![]()

Yes. Same spring.
Depends on what you're comparing it to I guess... or what other traditional knives you've owned. For some of us that have other traditional by gec, Northwoods etc. It just isn't comparable. Heck, the walk and talk of a SAK is much more snappy.Well, why not? I have a 319, and have handled several others. The spring has been completely satisfactory in all of them.
