This is a bit of a rant so bear with me :)).

This has happened to me three times in the last month.

A seller posts a popular knife for sale. I happen to be online at the time it was posted. I want the knife at the price and say I'll take it etc etc. I email the seller and post on the forum. Since it was just posted, I expect a relatively quick reply (30 minutes or so). But I get nothing for hours, (in one case 36 hours) then the reply I get is the knife is already sold. Where do these people go after they post? Mars? I don't expect them to be glued to the computer waiting for a reply to their post, but I'm replying within 2 mins in each case!! I'd think they'd still be online after they post....at least for a minute. Kinda frustrating!!

Mars...Yes, since it is closer to Earth than it has been in a LONG time, they MUST have taken a vacation trip there.:D.

I have MSN IM and Yahoo IM, so as long as I'm on my computer, I know right-away when I receive an email, so I can respond right away, BUT I do think that someone who has an item listed for sale or trade, SHOULD check their email AT LEAST twice a day.

Of course they could have gone on vacation (here on Earth), but they should have posted that they won't be answering their email for awhile...That would be the correct thing to do.

Absolute pile of disrespectful crap. If they had any common courtesy they would be fair and see the time you emailed them and give it to you first. I would also make sure to write " I'll take it" in their post so you can document the time on the forum as well.

true masterchef ol buddy! an email and an i sent you an email post has always worked for me- even with you!:D :)

Something that drives me Apesnot is when people don't mark something as being sold. I recently went on a Szabo hunt through four different forums and followed up on about 6 knives that were offered at various times. I'll admit that many of them were months old but none were marked as sold. In every case the seller wrote me back and came off like I was an idiot. "dude I sold that MONTHS ago" and it's like "well then ya shoulda marked it sold ASSBAG!"

Could just be me.

Unfortunately, there are a few people on the forums who think courtesy and respect is a one way street. I'm amazed that some folks will offer a knife for trade, you then make an inquiry, and they never respond. I'm so ashamed I didn't offer you the knife of your dreams...what was I thinking? By all means, don't take 90 seconds to send an email saying " Thanks, but no interest." You freakin' mope.

Sheesh. Some people's kids. geegee
