Today was the annual dog walk at our nearby lake, this was Snickers first time attending and she was really giddy when she saw all the other dogs !!!

It wasn't hard to follow the route with these signs marking the way !!!!

We spotted a little wildlife on the way round, like these Turtles sunbathing....

And these tent caterpillars.....

It was quite hot out today and Maisy soon took to the water, even Snicker is starting to dip her feet now !!!

As Maisy turned water baby Snicker decided that was a little too much for her....

Maisy soon returned with her bounty.....

And then it was time to catch up with the others again on the final leg of the walk, Mrs Pit and TT stride off while the ever faithfull Maisy waits for me......

Looks like you had a blast! Maisy is soon becoming a household name here, my nephew loves to see her.

Looks like fun. They didn't give you a hard time about keeping maisy on a leash?

LOL ! That's good to hear, she adores kids, when she is with a bunch of kids she is in her element !!!!

Looks like it was a great time. Maisy is definitely a part-time amphibian! I like that shot of her swimming off into the distance, with Snicker pondering her next move at the water's edge.

Pit (and others), what's your policy on tent caterpillar nests? If I come across a small patch of them when I'm alone on the trail, and if it's not too dry, I often take the opportunity to torch 'em. When they get out of control, they can really wreck whole sections of forest around here. Usually, I just pop a pulled-apart PJCB into the thick of the nest and feed it a few sparks. If you time it right, you can pluck the burning nest off the tree before the fire damages the branches.

Thanks for sharing, and all the best,

- Mike

Looks like fun. Going walking with my dogs is one of my favorite things to do.
