Annual Victorinox ALOX color for 2023?

Every year, they do three knives in this special color, and when they sell out, that's it. Also, from 2015, to 2020 the three knives in question were the Pioneer, Cadet, and Classic. Then in 2021, they switched it up, and the three became the Pioneer X*, the Hunter Pro, and the Classic. It appears that 2023 will continue that. I can tell you that earlier years have become very sought after, so as a SAK collector, I always make it a point to get at least one or two as some years sell out faster than others. As bright as this color is, I expect these won't be around for too long. The total run numbers are generally around 15,000 of each (spread across the world), except for the first year's 2015 knives where around 9,500 were made, which is why they so absurdly priced on those rare occasions you actually see one pop up on Ebay or here.

I will be grabbing the Pioneer X and the Hunter Pro as soon as they hit the dealers.

You’re exactly right. I have been able to collect 2015-2022 Classics but 2015-2017 (bought this year) cost a pretty penny!

I guess I was wrong. One of my favorite SAK retailers has a hyper link that takes you to a page designed for the release. No knives available. Can't find the page from the actual website though. SOON

Lime is one of my favorite colors but I'm not sure if I'd have it as my daily go to. Nice color though!

Someone posted a picture of them on reddit this week, comparing them with the regular yellow cellidor and stayglow scales. When i first saw them announced i did not like the color. Vic did a poor job advertising these in my opinion. The color looks so much better in "real life" compared to the way it looks like on their promotion stuff.
The pic on reddit has me rethinking my position though. Debating with myself to get the PX.

It’s always interesting to see what the color will be each year. Some of them are quite… interesting, and this year’s didn’t disappoint in that aspect. I bought a 2015 Pioneer back when they came out, just because I liked the color. I’m not a big SAK collector, so I didn’t have any intention of buying every year’s edition, though maybe I should have.

My first daughter was born in 2016 and I almost bought that years knife, but the color didn’t do anything for me. Same with 2020 when our second kid was born. I did pick up a 2018 at some point (I think it was after they’d all been sold, but I don’t think I paid much of a markup on the secondary for it).

I’ll be curious to see more “real life” pics of this year’s color, I think it has potential if it looks better in person than in the advertising photos.

(I always forget that the 2015 Pioneer is in my avatar, too.)

I should like the PX because I like the Pioneer and I like the 91mm scissors, but for some weird reason I don't like that combo on the PX.
I'm joining that club. When I was in the garden it seamed to fill with compost in the shed sawdust. The layout is too open. The knife became thick and I’m always grappling to open the scissors from the wrong side. Minor annoyances but enough to change to the Sanremu pt 721 for the garden or a Farmer.

Yeah maybe that is what ruins it for me too. Could also be the tool to weight ratio is off.
