Anodized hardware?

The clips can be bought seperately but as far as I know CRK will not anodise them for you. The screws are stainless steel so they will not be anodisable*. There are a few members that have either anodised or heat coloured the Titanium pieces on there CRK knives them selves with good results though.

* I believe that one can actually "anodise" stainless steel but I'm not quite sure of the process or if it's limited to particular sorts etc. Another option would be to use something like an IVD coating on the steel and then anodise the layer of aluminium, but that would be getting quite ridiculous I think. :p

I worked many years in the fly fishing industry for a reel company where all of our reels (aircraft aluminum) were anodized. We used all stainless hardware, if I recall correctly you cannot anodize stainless. I believe you can color it via other processes, but not the same way aluminum and Ti can be...
