Anodized my small regular user as an experiment...

There have been a few people wondering how anodized handles hold up with regular use. I don't actually know since the knives I've anodized have all been sold off so I don't have any long term experience. So, I've decided to run an experiment on my small regular. It was very well used as you can see in this before picture. I'll carry it just as I always have, sitting down in my pocket with whatever happens to fall in there. Loose change, keys, whatever... As time goes by I'll post pics, maybe weekly, to show how the anodizing holds up to regular use and abuse...

That looks awesome man!! Def keep us updated would love to see how it holds up to EDC. This knife is pushing me to pick up a CRK soon.

That's a sweet edge you have on there. What did you use to get it?

Wicked Edge. It's just a V edge at 34 degrees inclusive. I strop it almost daily on a Stropman green strop as well. I keep the strop next to my computer...

That's going to be my next knife purchase...

Love the anodizing, BTW!

Would you be willing to share exactly what you use to anodize, I really want to do this!

Did you scotchbite it first? If so, I'll bet it'll hold up just fine for a good while...

Yes, I scotch brite to get bright metallic color. Anodizing the bead blasted handle gives a darker flat finish.

Looks good!

If you plan to carry it without the clip I bet it won't take long before it gets that well loved look.
Thanks, and look foward to it.

Well, end of week 1 and no reason to post a pic. Absolutely no visible changes to the knife. I may have to post monthly pics to actually observe any physical changes. Had 3 quarters in my pocket for the past 3 days just to give it a bit of a challenge and there are no marks...
