HI guys new to the forums have browsed around but have never posted before this being my first.
I recently purchased a ZT 0801 BW and looking to make it look a little more custom any suggestions? I love the blackwash but with it being throughout the whole knife it looks a little too uniform for my liking. Im thinking of using the 9v battery anodizing technique on the dlc blackwash coating will this work? Or will the DLC coating act as a barrier between the electricity and titanium? Does anyone have a picture of this done to another knife? I understand I can acid wash the anodization if I don't like it understanding I would loose the stock blackwash coating. Im leaving the blade stock because it looks awesome! The standoffs should be straight forward im going to strip the current coating on them and anodize them purple or blue.
