anodizing for beginners

hey there i have a question, a friend of mine and i want to start customizing production knifes through anodizing. the problem is neither he or me do know what we need for it. can anyone anodize metal and can us say what material we would need?

It depends on the metal you want to anodize. Titanium and Aluminum are very different processes. I'm sure a quick google search would find all the info you want about anodizing, blueing, parkerizing, plating, etc.

Of course you can use heat but you will often get an uneven coloring.
