I don't know if this is common knowledge or not so sorry if it is. For those of you who don't know (as I didn't earlier today), it's super easy to anodize titanium with 9 volt batteries and some coka cola. I read in popular science that all you have to do is connect the batteries in series with the positive lead connecting to the titanium, and connect the negative to some aluminum foil that is lining a plastic container. Then, fill the container with coka cola and submerge the titanium for around a minute and it will be anodized to the color that corresponds to the total amount of electricity coming out of your batteries. I gave it a go using four 9 volts and here are some before and after photos of my results so you can know what to expect. (please let me know if they don't work)

it's easy! But like all things it depends on the result you want to achieve. The system that you used can help you reach few colors.
