Well, for all of you who ordered Anerexic Badgers that did not come with sheaths-you might want to email forum member "Leatherman". He just made me some awesome leather sheaths for my AD, ARK, and ZT Set. His email is:

amoralleather@yahoo.com

'mtmike' just made these for me. I've seen leathermans site and he makes a nice sheath also but these are just what I wanted and I am very happy with them. I've had the canted sheath on most of the day while working in the yard and around the house. Mike suggested the natural color to go with the desert tan of the INFI Coot and it really looks great. If you need any info let me know and I'll get you in touch if you don't have his address.

The INFI gives it a little Busse family resemblance. One Coot has a penetrator tip and one doesn't eventhough I don't remember being able to specify one or the other when ordered.

Thanks for the plug there Ranger, much appreciated:D

Mike makes some the toughest leather sheaths out there, the fit and finish are also first rate. You cant go wrong getting a hard use sheath from him. I have one of his pieces and can attest to his skill. Oh yea, and he is a heck of a nice guy as well!:D

Heres part of what Ranger will be getting in the mail soon. And yep, they are darn near bullet proof as well...:p ;) :D

Edit, having trouble attaching pics, keeps timing out!!!!:grumpy:

I have one of MtMike's sheaths for my HR (excellent work!), and am looking forward to a Leatherman sheath for my ARK and possibly my Desert NO...:D ;)

I don't want this to get ugly, I am sure they BOTH do great work, but I have only dealt with leatherman so far. I can tell you that he is a complete professional and is a pleasure to deal with. I am trying to deal at least once with all the "forum" sheath makers. I have dealt with Normark, and Buybrown for kydex. Both were better that great! I know that leaves OKU but I will get to him next time I need kydex. I will also try to deal with MTmike at least once. I think you should sample everyones wares, if for no other reason because they are Busse Nuts like the rest of us. That being said, I do believe that most of my work will go to leatherman (no offence kydex guys ;))
He has been so great to work with and is doing right by me in everyway. Hell, everyone has done right by me, but there is just something about Dwayne that I like. (Run, Run fast my friend;) )
That's my 2 cents. Here is another. I would like to see Busse Combat either give all these guys a knife or a blank and then take orders for their work. That way the sheath guys could have plenty of work and we all seem fond of options, so you could pick your sheath and maker and pay for it all at once. I guess that would get to compicated in the long run. Speaking of long, this post has went on forever. So in closing...I forgot what point I was trying to make. :D Buy more naked knives...then sheaths from your favorite maker. Also post more pics, we all like 'em. Thank you, I'll be here all week. :D

I have to agree about leatherman. I just got my AD sheath yesterday in the mail, and it is OUTSTANDING work! Nice job D!

Well, I'm pretty sure Leatherman will get some of my cash too. I like the work that has been posted on the "BAD ASS". And since there is a fat AD around, and since that sheath is perfect for the AD... well you get the picture.

I think that Oku, (and from what I've seen of their work) Mt Mike and Leatherman all do great work. The differences are in preferred use and application. And given that we all are incurable INFI addicts... I'm sure that there is more than enough work to go around.:p

Jerry, the sheath makers thank you.

I've got sheaths from both Leatherman and MtMike and they both do great work. You can't go wrong getting a sheath from either one

Mhawg,
Those are some nice looking knives and sheaths ;):D:D

Yeh, Eric, I thought you might like those. :D :D The story on how I ended up with two INFI Coots will take some time but my throat is kinda dry so it might have to wait for the pit in Atlanta!

Hey guys, I have to say that there is something among all the sheath makers that I have come into contact with, we all share work and techniques and the occasional customer.. .. Mike and I trade work off on a semi regular basis. Lifter has steered work to me on occasion, and I returned the favor many times. I have River City, Buy Brown, and one other in kydex sheaths. Okuden is soon to get some work for me as well. There doesnt seem to me at least to be any real "competition" among any of the sheath makers here and on other forums. We may jab at eachother lightheartedly at times, like the "say no to tannic acid" of Okudens:D and my personal favorite, "friends dont let friends use plastic"

Its good to see some "brand loyalty" here, it shows that we as sheathmakers are doing something right and pleasing our customers! Thats a good thing as we are in it for the long run and want everyone to be happy with what we do for a living. If someone makes an inquiry of me and I dont think I can do what he wants I will direct him to the best maker for the job, end of story. I want whomever I buy from to sell me the best that they can do, and I expect to do the same for them if and when the time comes.

EDIT: I cannot believe that I admitted to owning KYDEX!!!!! AUUUUUGH!!:p

Well gee guys, all I can say is (blush !!) Thank you :D Little risk of things getting ugly between Leatherman and me -- I've learned a ton of stuff from Dwayne, and Chuck and Sandy and Dave (well, actually both Daves), as well as picked up a couple of neat tricks from customers like Schwert. Without exception, I've found that the whole knife-knut Forums crew is just a kick to work with. And get this -- I get to play with some of the absolute finest knives in the world :D The 2 hard parts of that is 1) I can't actually cut anything with them, and 2) I have to send 'em back :(
Have to agree with alphamaniv -- buy more naked blades :D
Mhawg - those were fun knives to work with, thanks for giving me the opportunity.
Heard from a lot of old friends in this thread -- as always, my pleasure,
MtMike

I would like to announce the opening of alphamaniv's paper and cardboard sheath company. Don't let your expensive custom sheaths get dirty. Use mine, they are disposable and cheap. Just send me your knives and see what I mean.:D
