Anorexic Badger Sheaths

Hey guys, I have to say that there is something among all the sheath makers that I have come into contact with, we all share work and techniques and the occasional customer.. ..

So, the knife sheath pimps and ho underground has finally been exposed! Best part is that I'm a "ho". Or is that the bad part?  :D

alphamaniv-- what a great idea !! and you could make the rounds of all the "outdoorsman" shows, probably sell a ton of them for those classy chinese folders and bowies !! Man I love this place, the inspiration just overloads
me :D :D :D
But seriously, how bad a day can it be when 5 Zeros , a TNT, and a big chunk of Cordova damascus are screaming "Clothe me in fine leather!!" Or TWO (!) INFI Coots and a big ol' Gerber bowie !!
Now pardon me guys, back to work on a couple of personals for me - couple of nice folders that desperately need to lose their clips :D

OOOH!! I want one O them cardboard sheaths for a special cardboard vairant thats been sitting in the filing cabinet far too long! :D Its a really nice Satin Jack c-board variant I got from Eric. I'll be sending this beaut your way Alphaman, thanks for the heads up!

Hey Mike! Thanks for stopping by our little love fest, its really cool to see such loyalty! btw that Bowie is gettin drooled on daily while I attempt to make something worthy of it, lol! Good to see biz is booming for you.

Thanks to everyone for taking all this in stride, were not in it for the money (theres a lot better paying jobs out there!) its for the love of the art and craft and the knives we work with. Thanks so much to everyone for allowing us to continue to do what we love and do most of it with the knives we are totally addicted to! I gotta post a family pic sometime! Its been a while.....:p

Indeed leatherman!

It's nice to see that my "signature" is taken in the spirit intended! Even I'll admit that leather looks, feels and smells (well, at least to some folks)good. It also has a "warmth" that you can't get from polymer.

I also want to note (especially for our customers) that us "sheath pimps" all offer a product unique to the maker.

I've dealt with a wide variety of customers in the past, and I have to tell you guys, every person I've done work for on a Busse, Swamp Rat, or CRK has exhibited a great deal of "class". I was wary of starting my own business, but you folks are making me think I've made the right decision, and I look forward to working with, and "for" you in the future.

"I would like to see Busse Combat either give all these guys a knife or a blank and then take orders for their work."-alphamaniv

I think I speak for all of us sheath makers when I say....
"Oh please,Oh please,Oh please,Oh please,Oh please,Oh please,Oh please!"

What I heard is all you sheath makers give 10% of your earnings to Jerry so he will keep selling his knives with those crappy cordura sheaths or sell them with no sheaths!!!! IS IT TRUE??

Ranger, You keep makin' comments like that and I'm gonna develop an inferiority complex about my cordura sheaths!!!!!!!! ;)

Just wait until you see my next sheath design, invention thingy!!! It's gonna revolutionize the sheath making industry!!!. . . .errrrr. . . . .. well. . . . okay, maybe not revolutionize. . . but it should be pretty cool. . . .well. . . that is, if it works. . . . . Oh, all right. . . never mind!

Ok, Jerry, do not mean to insult your cordura sheaths too much;)

But, such fine quality knives, as such are Kassi Kombat Knives, deserve high quality leather sheaths!

I did like the leather sheath that came with the AD I have. But the Horizontal waering BADASS by Leatherman allows more comfortable EDC.

The cordura sheath that the Natural Outlaw came with actually was not too bad-I liked the outside pocket with the elastic restraining band. I just personally like leather sheaths.

So when you are buying a Kassi Kombat Knife, you have to figure the actual cost of the blade. For example: Active Duty tacitcal finish $237; Shipping and Handeling $10; Leather man horizontal Sheath $50; flowers, chocolate, or teddy bears to Kassi to expediate delivery $20-$30. Total cost for AD Tactical Finish = $317-$327.

We need to invent a smiley that has big red lips and is blowing kisses!! :D That would be for you Ranger!!;)

Kassi in leather...mmmmmmmmmmmmm. ;)

I guess now we need a smiley with his face slapped!

BAD hawg!

Kassi Kombat huh????

Just wait 'til you get your next order and they come with pink micarta handles!!!!. . . . Oh, it's happened before my friend. . . .

Should get quite the reaction from your buddies when you tell them that you're there to back them up!!!!  :barf:

Now, if I can find a way to get the lace to hang correctly from your light pink cordura sheath. . . I'll have your Kassi Knife all set up!!!:p ;)

Jerry -- when you get the Kassi Kombat worked out, pink lace and all, there'll be a huge market for it. I ran across this site, seems they're looking for somthing just like you described. http://www.defense.gouv.fr/
Maybe you get could get Leatherman to make up one of his cute little doiley inserts in a dangly sheath design :D :D

Ya know, Jerry, I could probably rustle up some hot pink or fuschia KX for that!

Pink Micarta!!??:barf: :barf: :barf: :barf: :barf: :barf: :barf:

It's a good thing Blade Babe personally packs and inspects my packages- and she knows I like Green!!!:D

OK, Jerry, I'll be nice now!:p

I would not worry about me, I'd worry about Kassi and SHaggi in their plot to overthrow the company and Re-name it Kassi Kombat Knives. Why do you think Kassi is always emailing me- I have been giving her lessons in forming insurgencies and conducting unconventional warfare!;)

I'm sure this is going to raise some eyebrows, but if I can't order a "factory" BA-3 sheath for my anorexic badger, I was thinking I might try a Buck Strider Solution sheath...

Mike

Awwwwww......kydex and leather living in harmony :D

Now, how about some collaborations? IMHO, both materials have their strengths not only mutually exclusively but that can be used together. In fact, I just made a dual layer kydex sheath with a leather outer layer, a leather belt attachment, and a python skin inlay....it'll be at Blade for all you guys who are gonna make it :D
