I didn't think there was an email addy so I sent first to "the girls", then I thought I'd missed it so I resent to Jerry's email. as my daughter would say "whatever" (but she knows better than to use that annoying, spoiled American teenager inflection when she says it :D )

Hey, I just realized I haven't received one of those auto-reply emails from Busse yet for either of my emails. Hmmm Hope my emails OK, My cable internet provider has been bought by comcast and they are in the process of migrating email from @attbi to @comcast :confused: fingers crossed

You guys, I talked to Jerry tonight and mine was the only email he got so he just sold the whole lot to me. Don't fret friends, I will share them with you for a modest handling fee of course. :D

I had to work and I missed the feeding. . . As a Death Chat Survivor this really hurts :( I sent and email anyway begging for mercy. . . Now it's in the hands of the Infi God & Goddesses.

And I sooo wanted one of the Limited Editions.

I posted at 7:32pm system time - AFTER sending my e-mail, so I sent my e-mail about 7:30pm or 7:31pm.

I got an automated reply at 7:41pm (timestamp on the e-mail) from Busse Combat, saying my e-mail had been received.

So -- how the HECK did I wind up with Serial Number 128 when I e-mailed Jerry less than 5 MINUTES (more like 3 minutes) from the original post?!?!

Does this really sound right?

I e-mailed Jerry and he PROMPTLY responded that yeah, that's the way the orders came in.

All I can figure is maybe my e-mail got "hung up" somewhere along the way? Or maybe telephone orders were inserted before e-mail orders, or....?

Thoughts?

Several things. I can't believe it's a conspiracy. What would Busse gain by shafting you? To my knowledge there were no "phone orders" and as such and knowing that the Busse shop gets flooded with e-mail when these offers come up, it is entirely believable that you got the 128th Annie Badger. Beyond that, since we all ordered, you have stated on several occasions that your intentions for the badger were to carry on camping trips and to use it accordingly. With your intent to use the knife and not turn around and sell it immediately... what difference does the # make? If you are going to camp with (and I assume use) the knife, the number should matter very little. At least from my perspective.

On to real questions... how do you rank getting yours before everyone else, and how do you like the knife... aside from the # issue?
 
Yeah, the plan is still to use it as a camping knife.

I guess I was thinking with a lower serial number, if I ever get tired of it it would be worth more.

You're right, it doesn't REALLY make any difference in the whole great big scheme of things. I'm just really surprised.
