Cool! So I'm guessing that's for Ron? I think he'll like it quite a bit ;) Nice work.

WOW...what the heck is "stabalized madrone" so that I may ask for it in the future. Beautiful handle...sucker pops like nothing I've seen.

Great looking knife, but it doesn't appear to be a full flat grind, or is it just the pics? It looks like a 7/8ths flat grind or so kind of like a Ratweiler or Camp Tramp blade.

I have liked everything you have posted and have asked a couple of times about pricing with no reply back from you, do you only make them for friends and for yourself? If the answer to that question is yes, do you need anymore friends...I have lots of land to hunt on in Texas! I would like to talk to you about maybe purchasing one of your knives if you are interested, let me know.

Well the blade is flat ground on the platen until i get to somewhere around .030 then it is heat treated ..following Ht i set the edges on the grinder prior to hand rubbing the finishes, i do this because i dont like that big sharpening line on the bottom of the blade. But it is not flat ground all the way to 0 if thats what you mean. Doing so takes away too much of the edge strength imho.thanks guys..more to come later.. Luke

Shotgun..madrone more commonly called madura dura by the spanish is used in making stirrups for high end saddles..or so ive been told. the wood is dyed to get that color..so if you find some maybe you could pick your own colors..later
