Beautiful pieces, I am really drawn to #1. You mention in the post a Hummer H3 leaf spring was used for the steel. I am assuming that it's probably 5160 or 10B21. Do you happen to know if it's either of these or something else? I know it can be tricky to figure out what was used for the springs without calling the manufacturer, so totally understand if you don't.

Thanks man.

I don't think it's either of those two steels. Steel felt like harder to straighten and grind than 5160. Right after the quench it was hard as glass, and when I sharpen it it takes a great edge. It's definitely something of good quality. Here is a video of me making the same model of the knife out of the same piece of leaf spring

Watched the vid a couple times, just enthralled to watch your art unfold. I dropped a message on your profile with some contact info. I am strongly considering this piece!
